Quip Shed Comedy @ The Old Cranleighan Club Ft. Fin Taylor

Quip Shed Comedy continues to host its stand-up comedy shows at The Old Cranleighan Club in Thames Ditton! For our November show, we have the hilarious Fin Taylor headlining, and support from Russell Hicks and Shalaka Kurup!

Shalaka Kurup is an Indian stand up comedian and writer. Her observational humour has been described as deadpan joy. A doctor by education and a comedian by choice Shalaka has shot onto the UK circuit receiving numerous awards, winning West End New Act of the Year, runner up Brighton Komedia New Act of the year and a finalist Channel 4 Sean Lock Award.

Performances include opening for Eshaan Akbar, Grace Campbell, Ria Lina, and was selected for Leicester Comedy Festival Circuit Breakers and Pleasance Reserve in 2023. She has starred on Comedy Central Live Season 3, Jokes Only A…Can Tell, Asian Network Comedy, Arts Hour Comedy Special and Sunday Morning Live.

Russell Hicks is one of the UK’s most razor-sharp and exciting comic talents, and has appeared on some of the UK’s biggest TV networks, including Channel 4, BBC and ITV. Fresh from winning the Prague Fringe Festival 2024, Russell is on tour across the UK. Russell headlines at every major club across the UK, including The Stand, Glee Club and Up the Creek, and holds a residency at Top Secret Comedy Club in London.

Russell regularly entertains studio audiences at Have I Got News For You, The Last Leg, and As Yet Untitled. He is a Spotlight registered actor and enjoys both comic and dramatic roles. This is alongside his Stateside work with legendary Hollywood clubs The Comedy Store, The Improv and The Laugh Factory.

Fin Taylor has made a name for himself as one of the most talked about comedians working in the UK. A favourite of Edinburgh Festival audiences, his regular 5-star sell out shows have propelled him on to appearances on BBC2’s Live At The Apollo, The Mash Report, and 8 out of 10 Cats, as well as Comedy Central’s Roast Battle and Live From The Comedy Store. In Australia he has appeared on The Project as well as The Allstars Melbourne Gala and at Just For Laughs in Montreal he recorded a spot on The Michael Che Gala. In the US, Fin has written for Comedy Central’s Alec Baldwin Roast.

Based in London, Fin is a regular performer at Comedy festivals around the world, as well as comedy clubs all over the UK. He also hosts the popular and viral YouTube show Fin vs. The Internet!
