Join us for a fun night of quizzing and help us to raise funds for our 20th anniversary Festival in 2026.
Gather friends and family together to make up a team of four and come up with an inventive team name! There will be four rounds with questions covering general knowledge as well as a few subjects directly or indirectly relating to books.
- Each member of the winning team will win a tote bag of goodies including a £10 gift voucher from Read bookshop
- All teams will also be entered into a free draw on the night and one team will win a prize for each team member
- Fabulous raffle prizes to include: 2 x Afternoon Tea takeaway boxes from Lost Property cafe; 2 x tickets to see comedian John Shuttleworth at Lawrence Batley Theatre, hamper of goodies, wine - and more!
HuddLitFest is your local festival – a not-for-profit doing big things on a small budget. Every penny we raise will go towards running our free and low-cost events, from inspirational author talks and creative or wellbeing workshops to extending our valued Schools Programme.
We’re expecting this to be a popular event so book early to secure your team’s place! You only need to book one ticket per team and each team can have up to four members.
Note: the café will be open as usual during the Quiz Night for you to purchase drinks and food. However there will be a short period for us to set up the room around 5.30pm. From 6pm-6.30pm there will be time to purchase refreshments, find a table and look at the first round (a picture round). The estimated finish time for the evening is around 8pm/8.30pm.

Please note the Huddersfield Literature Festival refund policy: Refunds are available up to 28 days before an event. We may consider refunding tickets after this time, but it is unlikely we will do so unless the event is sold out. You may transfer your ticket to someone else if you are unable to use it, but we recommend that you let us know so that we can update our audience list on the door.
