Event description

Description

This workshop is for doctoral students who have written most of their thesis.

This session will outline the ways in which you can get your thesis into the best possible shape before submitting. It will address how to check that the overall structure is coherent, how to ensure that your writing is of a high quality, and cover practical tasks to carry out in finalising your thesis. It will also consider what examiners look for in a thesis, and the submission process itself.

Learning Outcomes

  • To know how to ensure that your thesis is coherent and logically structured
  • To understand the practical steps involved in finishing a thesis
  • To be aware of what examiners will look for in a thesis, and what the submission process involves

Don’t forget: if you would like extra support with your academic writing or can’t make a workshop, email skills@wlv.ac.uk to request a doctoral appointment.
