Race for Change: Supporting future black lawyers
Wed 9 November 2016, 12:00 – 18:30 GMT
An event for black university students and graduates hosted by international law firm Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP.
The proportion of black associates in the legal profession has remained static for the last three years, at just 1.4% in the most recent Diversity League Tables report. We at Berwin Leighton Paisner want to change that. We invite you to attend our event ‘Race for Change – Supporting future black lawyers’ to help us change the makeup of the profession, and to help you achieve your career goals. This event will include discussions on the challenges of entering the profession as an ethnic minority, application advice, and exclusive talks from successful black legal professionals Segun Osuntokun (BLP), Miranda Brawn (Daiwa Capital Markets) and Solomon Wifa, (Willkie Farr). The day will end with an opportunity to network with a number of speakers and BLP representatives.
Travel expenses up to £100.00 per person will be covered.
