Network with leaders across the Brighton tech community at an inspiring event exploring how we can collectively achieve a sustainable future

About this event

There are few targets that unite an entire business community, country, or indeed the human race... but we have one right now: 1.5 degrees.

Everyone is concerned. Everyone cares. Everyone wants to do the right thing. But that ship has sailed - caring about climate change is no longer optional.

Join us at innovation hub Plus X Brighton on the evening of Thursday 9th June as we welcome Chris Hines MBE (Co-Founder and Director of Surfers Against Sewage and former Sustainability Director at the Eden Project) to hear his incredible story, learn why becoming net zero is an absolute must for your business, and how to get there.

Chris has given evidence to the UK parliament, the Monopolies and Mergers Commission, the European Commission, briefed the President of the European Parliament, been a special advisor to the Minister for the Environment and appeared on a wide range of media from BBC World Service and Panorama to CNN.

The evening will also include a panel discussion with Low Carbon Leaders, University of Brighton's Clean Growth UK, and GoCardless, where we’ll discuss how businesses need to adopt more sustainable, purpose-driven models to ensure their ongoing success, solutions to getting there, and how we can rise to this all-important challenge by using every tool and skill at our disposal. More importantly, learn how to lead the way and become a pioneer in this space!

In partnership with Low Carbon Leaders, Clean Growth UK and TechZero.

A big thank you to our host sponsor Plus X Brighton Innovation Hub, an inspiring flexible work space with access to outstanding facilities and business growth support.
