All ages can get involved.
Jobs in the Games Industry: Coffee with Codemasters!
If you are aspiring to become an artist, developer, designer, or in any other position in the games industry, this is a great opportunity to talk with experienced games industry personnel and recruiters.
This is an informal chat with Meg Daintith and Carl Morris over games and coffee from the Pump Rooms cafe, learn about jobs in the gaming industry and what Codemasters do!
Query them; discuss your passion for their company/games they make, and what they’d recommend as the next steps for your own career path.
Before and after this session, you can explore Warwick’s Esports Centre and enjoy the following:
Drop-in and PLAY!
Immerse yourself in the exciting world of esports, pull up a seat, pick up a controller and try your hand at some popular racing games.
Have a go at Rocket League, F1 2020 or compete against others in the Trackmania Time Trial for the chance to win Esports Centre vouchers OR an exclusive coaching session with a seasoned racing game player!
Younger children can have a go at designing their own supercar or strut their stuff to Just Dance in the console area!
Esports for everyone!
Taking place at the Esports Centre, this event is open to first-timers through to seasoned players. There will be experts from the University of Warwick on hand to provide assistance if required. There will also be an accessible gaming kit advised by our charity partner Special Effect, which includes ergonomic joysticks, clip-on accessible buttons, and other features that can be integrated into any game, making it fully accessible to any user.
For those who love to play and compete for long periods of time, there’s a dedicated area for playing games - from Minecraft through to League of Legends. These are payable by the hour.
