Racecourse Skateboarder Skate Meet

Come join us at the **Racecourse Skateboarders Skate Meet** to celebrate what you've learnt and meet other people interested in skateboarding! Whether you're a seasoned skater, a complete beginner or just enjoy watching the action, this event is perfect for all skate enthusiasts. It will take place in the skate park near Northolt Park Childrens Centre.

If you are a confident ripper then we'd love you to share your skills with others. Skaters can win treats for tricks and there will be competitions for all abilities. We look forward to welcoming everybody.

You do not have to book, you can just turn up, but it would be good to have an idea of numbers so we can make sure there are enough treats to go round. There will be vegan, nut free and gluten free goodies as well as non food prizes.

Organised by

Racecourse Skateboarders is a community project growing the skateboarding community in Northolt - specifically within the Racecourse Estate.

Funded by a "Visions for Northolt" grant in 2024, the project will initially consist of five lessons for children aged 7-17yrs old, one lesson for adults and young people aged over 11yrs and a skate meet where new and experienced skaters can get together to have fun, learn from each other, celebrate the skills developed in their lessons and win some prizes. We would love to hear from residents who would like to volunteer with the project.

Bookings go live on the 6th of April 2024.

All lessons are delivered by a skateboarding company, employing experienced instructors who are all DBS checked and trained in safeguarding. They provide all necessary equipment so everyone can come down and give it a go for the first time. If you have your own equipment and would like some coaching to develop your skills then these lessons are also for you. Skateboarding helps people get fit, improves balance, precision, reflexes, co-ordination, and patience.

We want the skateboarding community in Northolt to reflect the diverse community within the Racecourse estate, so rest assured - our events are a safe space for all, especially for people traditionally underrepresented in skateboarding.
