Radical food practices
Date and time
Discussion & free community meal
About this event
Join us for a session of collective learning about the links between radical politics and community food projects. We will learn from historic examples like the Black Panthers’ breakfast programme and civic restaurants in the U.K. We will discuss feminist food initiatives and food sovereignty in decolonisation struggles and talk about what we can draw from them for local movements seeking to build sustainable and joyful food communities at the local level.
The event is organised by Another Provision and the National Food Service London, followed by a free-of-charge vegetarian/vegan community lunch.
WHEN: Saturday 10 September, 12pm-3p
WHERE: Anti University, Cooperation Town Hub Garden, Haverstock rd, NW5 4RA London
