Your child will learn new skills and have a fantastic time making their own beautiful willow creations. A snack and a drink are included for every participant, making it a truly special morning.
A Note on Age Groups: The age ranges are a guide. Please feel free to book your child into the class you feel is most appropriate for their ability and interest. There are no strict rules! Children under 13 must have a parent or guardian remain on-site throughout the workshop.
Age 5-8: Make a Butterfly!
- Time: 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM
- Cost: £40 per child (includes mini pastries and a drink)
- About the Class: This two-and-a-half-hour workshop is perfect for absolute beginners. Your child will use willow and rush to create a beautiful butterfly, learning simple 'figure of 8' weaving. We'll also chat about where these materials come from and the fascinating lifecycle of butterflies.
Age 9-12: Make a Bird Feeder and a Willow Snail
- Time: 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM
- Cost: £45 per child (includes mini pastries and a drink)
- About the Class: This workshop, also two and a half hours long, is great for children who have some crafting experience or love being creative. They will make a practical bird feeder (we'll provide the fatballs!) and a charming willow snail.
Age 13+: Make a Willow Trug
- Time: 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM
- Cost: £65 per person (includes a pastry and hot chocolate)
- About the Class: A fantastic, three-and-a-half-hour workshop to make a handy willow trug! This slightly more advanced weave requires a little hand strength and is perfect for teens and adults. It's ideal for collecting vegetables from the garden but can be used for all sorts of household storage too.
