Ashley’s Fit Up: An evening with Arthur Bently & friends
About this event
Ashley’s Fit Up is an ever-evolving musical/visual performance, originally created to fundraise money for Cressingham Gardens estate, a council housing estate like many others in London threatened by bulldozing and eviction. The project includes handmade puppets, animations and a collaged musical score created as a way to repurpose and reconnect disparate ideas through shared sonic memory and performance.
Like in an archaeological dig, the group relies upon fragments of evidence in the form of open-ended musical language, folk stories and inter-historical social rituals to patchwork their ideas together and weave them into a collective performance, that is in its nature intent on replacing industrial creative restrictions with play and inclusivity.
TICKETING
One-off tickets for this event are priced on a sliding scale.
We ask that you think carefully about the price you select to pay for this ticket. We are using a sliding scale in order to ensure that this event is accessible as possible.
Those who are able to pay the upper prices are therefore subsidising those who are not, so it is important that those with sufficient funds respect that the low-cost tickets need to be left for those who really need them.
