In this practical session, participants will learn rain dance movements drawn from the diverse cultural heritages of the group. Using rhythm, repetition, and the body as an instrument of meaning, you’ll explore how movement can act as a ritual of connection and use the body as a tool to communicate with water.
Participants in the workshop are warmly invited to join Everything Human Rights Kubatana Dance Group in a live public performance at 12:10 at the Amphitheatre For A Tree to officially inaugurate the Bodies of Water Launch day. This celebratory rain dance performance will weave together professional dancers and workshop participants in a moving expression of shared energy, and heritage.
