Event description

Description

Are you from the LGBTQ community? Are you worried about your memory or about someone close to you? What is the difference between natural cognitive decline due to ageing and dementia, when should you take your concerns further? If you think that yourself or a loved one may have dementia what do you do then, what is the process for diagnosis? How can you continue to have a fruitful, fun and functional life despite memory problems or dementia? This is a talk and Q&A session with the Memory Assessment Service http://hereweare.org.uk/what-we-do/brighton-hove-memory-assessment-service/, Fran Hamilton, occupational therapist and Penny Dodds from Dementia UK. Come along, have a cuppa and a chat.

This event is organised by the Rainbow Café, an initiative from Switchboard for LGBTQ people living with dementia or memory loss and their friends, families and carers. https://www.switchboard.org.uk/projects/the-rainbow-cafe/
