  • Involuntarily outed by the tabloid media in 2016 as being the first transgendered judge, but made no public comment
  • Second female Master ever appointed
  • Youngest Master ever appointed of either sex
  • Also sits as the Acting Admiralty Registrar, a Deputy Costs Judge & Taxing Master
  • Decides serious and complex historic child abuse cases, asbestos related disease claims, personal injury claims of utmost severity, as well as cases relating to modern slavery, defamation and media law, civil procedure, human rights and constitutional law
