We are excited to be bringing back Rainbow Spoon, our informal monthly social for LGBT+ folks in Glasgow

About this event

Rainbow Spoon is a relaxed monthly meetup, where we can get together and have a blether with old friends and connect with new ones.  We’ll have tea, coffee, biscuits, and occasionally we’ll put on an activity or have someone along to speak.

We’ll be at the beautiful Kinning Park Complex – a historic former school less than a minute’s walk from Kinning Park Underground station.  It would be great to see you there, to share some stories and to catch up.

Who we welcome

Anyone from the LGBTQIA+ community based in or visiting Glasgow is welcome to join us. We welcome the entire diversity of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community including non-binary, queer, intersex, asexual people and all identities under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella. This includes those who are questioning or exploring their sexual orientation or gender identity.

Spaces are limited so we need you to register in advance. The capacity of this event is 25 people to ensure social distancing can be maintained.

Spaces are limited so we need you to register in advance.Bookings are for 1 person, not households or bubbles. Even if you and a friend or partner share an email address, you must make one booking per person.

If something changes and you can no longer attend the meetup, please let us know as soon as you can so your booking becomes available for someone else.

As of 18th April, all COVID rules and restrictions were lifted in Scotland. However, the virus has not gone away. The Scottish Government is now promoting the use of “COVID sense” to inform how best to protect people. With that in mind, we are continuing to have COVID safety measures in place to reduce risk though we know risk can never be reduced to zero. Any event may be cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances or if Scottish Government guidance changes.

The venue

We’ll be meeting at Kinning Park Complex. More information about the venue and how to access after registration.

♿ Wheelchair accessible

If you’d like to let us know of anything that LGBT Health and Wellbeing can do to make the event easier to access, or if you have any questions, please get in touch with Eve at eve@lgbthealth.org.ukor 07599 276 189 (Monday to Thursday).
