Are you a professional who wants to make a difference to deaf children and their families?
Raising a deaf child can be challenging with many families needing guidance to help understand the impact deafness can have. This programme gives you a wealth of ideas and strategies to improve the way you support parents and carers. You’ll leave the training inspired and confident to deliver the Raising a deaf child programme to the families you work with.
You’ll have opportunity to practise new approaches during the day and take away step-by-step plans to use in the future. This practical, CAN-accredited programme is built on evidence-based strategies that deliver positive impact for families and deaf children.

How much does it cost?
£90 per delegate, payable via credit/debit card, cheque and invoice.

What are my transport options for getting to and from the event?
There is a lot of building work going on around the City Centre so best option is to get the train/public transport where possible. Walking directions from the Train Station will be sent with final information.
NDCS has no car parking spaces at Quay Place. Security will only allow you to quickly drop off or collect and go but please check in at the gatehouse on arrival. Parking is available nearby:

Is lunch provided?
Please note that lunch is not provided. Delegates will be asked to bring their own lunch or make use of any local cafes. Refreshments, such as tea, coffee and water will be available.
Can I give my place to a friend or colleague if I can't come?
Yes, however you must notify us in advance, at least 5 days before the workshop takes place via firstname.lastname@example.org
What if I need to cancel?
In the event the
Delegate cancels 20 working days or less before the planned date, a charge of 100% of the total cost will be made
Delegate cancels 21 - 30 working days before the planned date, a charge of 50% will be made
Delegate cancels 31 working days before the planned date, no charge will be made.
