A Tyne Derwent Way wellbeing walk, from St Mary’s to the Staiths and back! Join Kath, a trained walk leader with the Ramblers, as she explores Gateshead’s riverside’s past and present. You will walk as far as Dunston Staiths and back, via bridges, sculptures, the industrial heritage and more. A brilliant opportunity to get outside, have a chat and learn about Gateshead’s history and culture.
Meet outside St Mary’s Heritage Centre, by the entrance to the glasshouse. The walk will end back at St Mary's Heritage Centre, which will be open for you to take a look or enjoy the pop-up cafe. What three words for starting point = string.fees.stump
Suitable for all, although we’d recommend you’re comfortable walking up to 3 miles/ being on your feet for up to 2 hours - or travelling the equivalent distance and time in your wheelchair.
We're looking forward to welcoming you to the Tyne Derwent Way for Kath's Ramblers Walk on Wednesday.
Cancellations
We know that sometimes plans change and understand that you may not be able to attend any more. If that is the case, please let us know by cancelling your ticket on Eventbrite. Kath is a volunteer so her time is precious, as are the limited places on her walks. Thank you.
