About this event

From moth trapping to path maintenance, litter picking to habitat monitoring, visitor engagement to tree planting - join the Nevis Landscape Partnership Ranger Team for a day out and about in Glen Nevis, finding out about what we do, why we do it, and joining in on whatever exciting task we have planned for the day!

We will meet at our office at An Drochaid for 10am. This month we're going to check out our local moths and butterflies! We will start the day going through our humane moth trap and identifyng species, then head out up the Glen in the afternoon to walk our butterfly transect and find out what's flying up the Glen.

Please bring along lunch and sturdy footwear/waterproofs. The butterfly transect cover slightly steep, rough ground so a moderate level of fitness is required.

It's free to attend our Ranger Days, but feel free to make a donation with your registration! Select the "Donation" eTicket type.

Please note that our butterfly survey is highly dependant on the weather, and we may need to postpone fairly last minute but will make every effort to keep you informed!

Over 18s only and this event is unsuitable for dogs.

If you have any questions or would like to take part in this as volunteering for an award scheme, don't hesitate to get in touch! Email: ellie@nevislandscape.co.uk

Get stuck in!

There are many ways you can support the work that we do on the Ben and in the Glen. Much of the work we get done comes from volunteering so we have regular opportunities to come out and volunteer on path or conservation work parties.
