The Ransackers Association (RA) promotes later-life learning with particular reference to people educationally disadvantaged earlier in life. There has been a particular focus on people over the age of 55 who have undertaken serious study. Along with the Association for Education and Ageing RA is a co-signatory to the Special Interest Group in Educational Gerontology, a sub group of the British Society of Gerontology. RA has maintained partnerships with the Open University, the European Commission in, PAIL and the London Intergenerational Network. For this event we are also networking with colleagues in Hackney and other London boroughs affiliated to the Age Friendly Cities Network.
