Event description
Create contemporary rap, beatbox and spoken word music in response to local culture with Rufus Mufasa, Beat Technique and Mr Phormula.

About this Event

Expect the unexpected on this practical course for teachers and educators, that brings historic and contemporary arts together. Led by three hugely successful Welsh musicians, Rufus Mufasa, Beat Technique and Mr Phormula. Participants on this course will experience the professional music process of these three artists, find out about the things that influence their creative practice and hear about artists in Wales, the UK and internationally who work within these hugely popular art-forms.

You will explore the galleries of the National Roman Legion Museum to find inspiration to create your own work. Aimed at KS2 and KS3, this course sets out to build the confidence of teachers and educators, presenting a fresh and engaging approach to using collections, local arts, culture and heritage as inspiration for creating new artwork through musical styles of rap, beatboxing and spoken word.

This course has been developed in partnership with National Museum Wales.
