Puppet Animation Festival 2013
The Puppet Animation Festival is the UK's oldest and largest children's theatre festival.
The Puppet Animation Festival started life as a week long event at the Netherbow Arts Centre in Edinburgh in 1984 and has grown since then to cover the length and breadth of Scotland from the Scottish Borders to the Shetland Isles.
This year we're very excited to be hosting 2 fantastic shows and a (free) puppet making w'shop at The Out of the Blue Drill Hall.

Welcome to Dame Gothe’s garden where you can let your hair down with Rapunzel. Narrated by a wonderful frog, this adaptation has all the elements of the traditional tale…the witch, the beautiful girl locked in a tall tower and, of course, the handsome prince who attempts to save Rapunzel…
With specially recorded music, beautifully made rod puppets, and Steve Smart’s masterly puppety skills, this is a show that will be enjoyed by adults and children alike.
Established in 1987, Clydebuilt is one of Scotland’s leading touring puppet companies, touring very extensively throughout the UK and performing over 200 shows per year.
Online ticket sales will end 24 hours before the event. Any remaining tickets will be available on the door, cash only and subject to availability.
Important: We do not send out tickets. Please bring the debit/credit card/paypal transaction number you purchased the tickets with as proof of purchase on the day.
