Description

Introducing FREE Raspberry Pi Training for Teachers

Looking for interesting new projects do do with your Raspberry Pi?

Thanks to the Platten Family Fund at Community Foundation Tyne, Wear & Northumberland, schools who received funding from 2016 - 2018 can now access FREE monthly express training in teaching with the Raspberry Pi.

You can register as many teachers from your school as you would like and attend as many or as few sessions as you choose across the academic year (subject to availability).

What can I expect?

Each session will last for 2 hours.

During the first hour, you will focus on a particular lesson that you can take back to your classroom. You will be able to access the slides and content following your training to keep you on track!

The second hour of the training is our 'Open Surgery Session.' At Tech for Life there's no such thing as a stupid question so during this hour (as well as getting a chance to practise what you have learned during the first hour) you can come armed with all of your questions and queries for our tech experts to help you get right back on track for teaching using the Raspberry Pi!

Valentines card in Scratch 2

In this session we will be creating a Valentines card in Scratch 2. The card would be an animation or eCard. This would make use of broadcasts in scratch causing sprites to respond to each other. The card can either just be a simple animation that tells a little story OR we can make it more interactive.
