Description

The Royal Agricultural University 2018 Teacher and Adviser Conference

The Royal Agricultural University is hosting its annual Teacher and Adviser Conference. We plan to bring together teachers and advisers from both local and national geographies, to raise awareness of the exciting variety of progression and career opportunities in the land-based sector.

Attendees will find out how to best support their students to access, progress and succeed at FE and HE, with optional breakout sessions on Student Finance, Transition to University, Student Enterprise and Land-Based Graduate Careers, delivered by sector experts.

The event will be supported by the School Farms Network Education Alliance (SFNEA), an exciting partnership between the Royal Agricultural University (RAU), Applied Inspiration and the School Farms Network (SFN), with the support of the Federation of City Farms and Community Gardens. The Alliance is focused upon encouraging, driving and supporting land-based education practices and pursuits in schools and communities, with visible pathways to higher education and career outcomes.

The event will also complement the practical focus of the School Farms Network Education Alliance (SFNEA) regional meetings, and provide an opportunity for members of the School Farms Network (SFN) to find out more about land-based education at university, network with one another, and attend targeted sessions designed specifically for SFN members.
