The Director of Sustainability reports to the Director of Corporate Services who also holds the role of University Secretary. The Campus Environmental Performance Team is co-ordinated by The Sustainability Lab.The Sustainability Lab aims to:Embrace and promote the five ways of working to achieve Wales’ well-being goals and the UN Sustainable Development GoalsEnsure the highest standards of environmental performance (maintaining our ISO14001 accreditation)Contribute to a curriculum that reflects the University’s commitment to sustainable development and global citizenshipPromote sustainability in research, business and enterprise activitiesPromote an ethos of ‘Welsh is for everyone’ and normalising experience of living in a multi-lingual environmentPromote integrated reporting to communicate successCollaborate with the other Universities in Wales to make RCE-Cymru a reality

Gwerth mewn sgwrs – Prifysgolion yn dod at ei gilydd i roi Deddf Llesiant Cenedlaethau’r Dyfodol ar waith
Pwrpas y digwyddiad hwn yw dod â chylchoedd o ddiddordeb sy'n dechrau egino yn sgîl Deddf Llesiant Cenedlaethau'r Dyfodol yn y sector addysg uwch (AU) i sylw'r amrywiaeth eang o wasanaethau cyhoeddus ledled Cymru a'u gwahodd i ymuno â ni ar daith tuag at ffordd gydweithredol o weithio. Er nad yw'n ofynnol i'r sector addysg uwch gydymffurfio â Deddf Llesiant Cenedlaethau'r dyfodol mae ’na nifer o bobl yn y sector wedi'i chroesawu.
Mae’r ‘grŵp cenedlaethau'r dyfodol y prifysgolion’ (HEFGG) wedi bod yn cyfarfod ers nifer o flynyddoedd ac yn trafod yn gyson sut mae’r sefydliadau unigol yn gweithredu arferion datblygu cynaliadwy. Y teimlad oedd bod angen herio aelodau’r grŵp i wneud pethau'n wahanol. O ganlyniad maent yn gweithio gyda'i gilydd i ddatblygu nifer o gylchoedd diddordeb er mwyn ail-lansio Canolfan arbenigedd Cymru ar gyfer Cynaliadwyedd a lles cenedlaethau'r presennol a'r dyfodol (<A HREF="http://planet.cymru/cy/wales-rce-wcfg/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">RCE-Cymru</A>). Erbyn hyn mae’r grŵp am wahodd pobl o bob o bob cefndir – unigolion cyhoeddus, trydydd sector a phreifat i ymuno â nhw - os dymunwch.
Mae mantra'r grŵp fel a ganlyn: "osgoi creu mwy o waith drwy newid ein ffordd o weithio". Nid yw’n fwriad llwytho gwaith ychwanegol ar ysgwyddau pobl brysur, ond defnyddio grym y grŵp a'r cyfle i feddwl a myfyrio er mwyn gwneud cylch gorchwyl bob dydd pawb yn haws. Mae’n gŵyn gyffredin fod gan brifysgolion storfa o ymchwil defnyddiol. Ein her ni yw dod â’r wybodaeth yma i olau dydd.
Bydd y digwyddiad hwn yn gyfle gwych i ddatblygu cysylltiadau cryfach rhwng sectorau, a fydd o fudd i bobl Cymru yn y pen draw drwy effaith y ffyrdd o weithio a saith nod llesiant a amlinellir yn y Ddeddf Llesiant.
Rydym yn gweld y digwyddiad hwn o rannu syniadau ddwy ffordd rhwng y sectorau er mwyn cyfrannu at y Gymru a garem.
Ar hyn o bryd, mae sawl cylch o ddiddordeb ar y gweill ac mae'r grŵp yn chwilio am bobl sydd â diddordeb i ymuno â ni. Hyd yma mae'r grwpiau canlynol yn dechrau egino:

• Prifysgolion a cholegau iach (sy’n cael ei gydlynu gan Chris Deacy, Met Caerdydd)

It’s good to share – Universities joining forces to put the Well-being of Future Generations Act into practice
This event is about bringing emerging circles of interest around the Well-being of Future Generations in the Higher Education sector (HE sector) to the attention of the wider array of public services across Wales and to invite them to join us on a journey towards a new, collaborative way of working.   Whilst the HE sector is not required to comply with the Well-being of Future Generations Act (WFGA), some people within the sector have embraced it.
 Having met to discuss how their institutions are implementing sustainable development practices over a number of years, the Higher Education Future Generations Group (HEFGG) has challenged itself to do things differently. They are working together on a number of circles of interest to relaunch the Wales Regional Centre of Expertise for sustainability and the well-being of current and future generations (<A HREF="http://planet.cymru/en/wales-rce-wcfg/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">RCE-Cymru</A>). They would like people from all walks of life – public, third sector and private individuals to join forces with them if you so wish.
 The group’s mantra is as follows: “Not more work but changing the way we work”. This is not about adding an extra burden to already busy lives, but using the power of the group and the opportunity to think and reflect to make everyone’s day job easier. It’s well known that Universities are a mine of useful research, the challenge is getting it out there to see the light of day. We want to make that happen.
This event will be a great opportunity to develop stronger links between sectors, which will ultimately benefit the people of Wales through the impact of the ways of working and seven well-being goals outlined in the WFGA.
We visualise this event as being a two way sharing of ideas between sectors to contribute towards the Wales we want.
At the moment, several circles of interest are in development and the group is looking for interested participants. So far the following groups have emerged:

<LI>Healthy Universities and Colleges (co-ordinated by Chris Deacy, Cardiff Met)</LI>
<LI>Regeneration (co-ordinated by Dr Sheena Carlisle and Tim Palazon, Cardiff Met)</LI>
<LI>Teaching and Learning (co-ordinated by Dr Carolyn Hayles, UWTSD)</LI>
<LI>Communication is a cross-cutting theme and is co-ordinated by Bangor University’s Sustainability Lab.</LI>
</UL>

Who the seminar is for
This seminar is primarily aimed at public bodies with a duty to report under the Well-being of Future Generations Act but is also open to third sector organisations with shared interests in the circles of interest.
