ONLY ONE FUNDED PLACE PER PRACTICE. THERE WULL BE £160 IN THE EVENT OF DNAs

RCGP Certificate in the Management of Drug Misuse Part 1

Every practice needs skills around Alcohol and Substance misuse. Our new Tower Hamlets GP Care Group contract with LBTH DAAT requires every practice to have at least one clinician who holds the RCGP Certificate in the Management of Drug Misuse. This involves a free RCGP e-learning module and face to face training for a whole day. We are pleased to be offering the option of attending one of two training days to all practices in Tower Hamlets.

The Care Group are funding the RCGP fees for this locally run course (£160 PP) to ensure there is one person per practice with this qualification. We are want to avoid the need for practices to access the national courses being offered by RCGP, as these are more expensive (£270 PP) and cannot fund centrally.

We will keep you informed if there are places available for more than one practice member to attend

Further course information:

Part One to the RCGP Certificate in the Management of Drug Misuse is ideal for GPs working at a generalist level, as part of a shared care scheme and for those intending to provide treatment to drug users as part of a locally or nationally enhanced service.

It is multi-disciplinary so pharmacists, nurses, drug workers and other healthcare professionals can complete the certificate

E-learning
