GCRF engagement with the UK research base: Aims and suggested agenda

The purpose of these regional visits is to engage the UK research and user communities with the GCRF strategy, programme and funding opportunities. This is in response to a number of opportunities that have recently / will soon be announced through GCRF that we would like to promote as well as a strong interest from the research community for the GCRF team to talk at university-led events.  These events will also provide the opportunity to discuss practical elements of ODA research such as partnership building and ODA.

  • Improve accessibility to GCRF opportunities through a broader programme of regional events

  • Engage the UK academic community and broader research base with GCRF and future opportunities (including the second Collective Fund call)

  • Introduce the GCRF Strategy and outline the research agenda for change as a ‘framework’ for research

  • Provide some real life examples/ case studies on GCRF principles such as ODA and equitable partnerships / partnership building

  • Share best practice and lessons learned from other ODA related activities including the Collective Fund Growing Research Capacity and Capability call

  • Prime the community for and add value to the programme of Global Engagement Meetings
