Description

Professor Andrew Thompson, AHRC Chief Executive and RCUK Chief Executive Champion for GCRF (Global Challenges Research Fund) will visit the University on 15 December 2017 and give a talk on GCRF open to everyone.

Professor Thompson will talk about the strategy and vision for international development research, particularly GCRF, the current activities and opportunities with a focus on the multidisciplinary challenge approach and the role and contributions of arts and humanities research across these different challenges.

The presentation will be held in the Lecture Room 9, on the first floor of the Mill Lane Lecture Rooms from 2 to 3pm. The session will be chaired by Professor Martin Millett, Head of the School of Arts & Humanities.

This is a unique opportunity to hear from the RCUK GCRF Chief Executive Champion about RCUK strategy and vision for international development research and GCRF and ask any questions you may have.
