At this event you will get free and impartial advice on how you can keep warm in your home by learning about different types of insulation, draught-proofing and glazing replacement; and how you can reduce energy usage and lower your bills. We'll have expert speakers to offer help and advice.
You can listen to short talks from the experts, get tailored energy efficiency advice from Home Energy Scotland’s technical team, find out if renewable technologies would be suitable for your home, and the funding that is available for them.
You will also have the opportunity to meet energy advice advisors and specialist installers who have experience of working with Borders properties.

The experts will discuss a range of measures including different types of insulation, draught proofing, as well as installing renewable energy solutions. If you are interested in a specific element of your property our Home Energy Scotland advisors will be able to assist.
Will installers be at the event?
Local installers who are experienced in working in the Borders with different types of homes will be attending.
Can I get tailored advice for my home at this event?
Yes, Home Energy Scotland advisors will be in attendance. They can discuss your property and arrange for a home visit. This is where qualified staff can attend your home and make recommendations about what improvements you can make to your property.
Will there be refreshments?
Yes – tea/coffee and refreshments will be served at the start of the event.
Can I ask the speakers questions?
Yes, we have a dedicated Q&A session at the end of the talks. You will also have the opportunity to talk to them individually once the Q&A has finished.
