RE-IMAGINE & MEND WITH RE-RUNN: PART 2
Ready to give your clothes a second life?
In part two of this hands-on workshop, you’ll take the patch you made in Part 1 – or create a new one on the day – and learn how to stitch it onto your own clothing using simple, effective techniques that blend creativity with conscious repair.
Led by Sakina O'Neill, founder of the circular fashion brand RE-RUNN, this session is all about putting your patch to work. You’ll learn how to attach it securely and stylishly, using hand-stitching methods inspired by the visible mending tradition.
Bring along a piece of your own clothing – jeans, shirts, t-shirts, dresses, or bags are all great options. Sturdier fabrics work best, but if you’re unsure, feel free to bring a couple of choices and Sakina will help you decide.
No suitable garment? No problem – a small selection of preloved items will be available to use.
Didn’t attend Part 1? You’re still very welcome!
- Bring a patch you’ve made at home, or
- Create a quick one at the start of the session using our stash of preloved patterned fabrics (please note: we won’t have time for embroidery, but these fabrics are ready to make a statement).
This workshop focuses on small repairs – like rips, holes, or worn spots. It’s not designed for garments with extensive damage (such as large tears or thinning fabric across large areas).
Whether you’re here to extend the life of a beloved item or give something forgotten a second chance, you’ll leave with a refreshed piece that’s truly your own – and saved from landfill.
Spaces are limited – register early to secure your spot!
