Re-invigorating the team away day
A c.90 minute interactive session reviewing typical practice for designing and facilitating a team away event, and comparing this against emerging approaches offering innovative designs and facilitation techniques.
Many HR practioners and L&D professionals will be very familiar with the ‘team awayday’, either as an advisor, facilitator or contributor. Given ever-greater demands on working time, and a recognition of the value such events can still bring, how can HR professionals ensure that such events are well-designed, with innovative approaches to ensure maximum return on value and an engaging and stimulating session for employees weary of the ‘now let’s share what we have discussed’ approach.
In this interactive session Steve Munro examines the research and explores innovative approaches being used in organizations to shake up the formula whilst not losing the benefits many still accept such time away from the office can bring. The session will include practical hints and tips concerning understanding the brief, translating this into an effective design and through into event delivery.
Speaker: Steve Munro is an independent L&D professional with a wealth of experience in both corporate and smaller organisational environments. Steve specialises in developing motivating and stimulating learning experiences with real and lasting impact. Steve has worked alongside HR professionals for many years and has an informed perspective on how best to drive value from such literal or virtual valuable time away from the workplace
