Who is running this event

This programme is delivered by Rekindle (a youth charity) and The Roots Programme (a national community organisation). Both have extensive experience working with young people and communities across the UK.

Will my child be safe?

Yes. Safeguarding is our top priority. All staff and facilitators DBS-checked, and trained in working with young people. We follow strict safeguarding policies used across all Roots and Rekindle programmes.

Who can take part?

The event is open to young people aged 13–16 living in any of Greater Manchester’s ten boroughs.

Question 4

Does my child need to come for all 3 days?

Yes. Places are limited, so we ask that participants commit to all three days to get the most out of the programme.

Is it really free?

Accepted Answer

Yes! It’s completely free. Meals, snacks and travel costs are all covered by Rekindle and Roots.

Do parents/ guardians need to attend?

No – the event is fully supervised. Parents/guardians just need to sign up on behalf of their child and provide consent.

What do young people need to bring?

Nothing except themselves. We’ll provide all materials , food and refreshments.

How do I confirm my child's place?

Accepted Answer

Step 1: Parents/guardians register here on Eventbrite. Step 2: After registering, you’ll receive a link for your child to complete a short form themselves. Their place is confirmed once both steps are done.
