London Borough of Barking and Dagenham Youth Workers talk about the support available in the borough.

PSG in a youth club for young people who experience mental health issues or are affected by friends and family who have mental health problems. Flipside is a youth club for young people who identify as LGBTQ+. These clubs are free and open spaces to explore oneself and feel safe to make mistakes and learn. C-Card gives young people aged 13-24 access to free condoms across London and emergency hormonal contraception (aka morning after pill) in Barking and Dagenham.

Through these groups we improve people’s understanding of mental health and wellbeing, sexual health and consent, gender and sexualities, difference, acceptance and breaking down stigma and stereotypes.

PSG and Flipside are weekly youth clubs currently held online.
