Join us to repeat the baseline survey for the third time and complete the pre-winter tasks of sweeping the parapet gutters, clearing the sumps and hopper tops and checking the downpipes are clear. Since our last visit, the roof has been replaced and new downpipes have been fitted, so this will be a chance to admire the quality of workmanship and upgrade the scoring. We also have some brambles, ivy, weeds and soil to cut back and clear in the churchyard and crypt entrance.
It can be pretty wind-swept up on the roof, so bring warm clothes and sturdy flat shoes. Basic gardening tools would help with the ground level jobs. For ground level jobs Hot drinks, cake and biscuits provided, but please bring a packed lunch. There is a loo on site and plenty of space to park.
