A series of 8 unique sessions [08 Sept. - 15 Dec.2022] addressing the difficulties of working with complex problems that leaders face.
About this event
THE REACH SCHOOL PROGRAMME 2022 powered by Make Meaningful Work aims to improve people’s confidence with complexity and uncertainty and help teams to work better together and with collaborators.
Designed for Professionals:
These courses have been built with professionals working on problems in complex contexts in mind. We expect you to be a thought leader, or strive to be one in the near future. We took this decision because of the level of interaction required between participants. You can be in any sector in industry, government or non-profit organisation, but you need to set directions, with your team(s) and you need to be wanting to support your team(s) to achieve meaningful change in order to be able to take part and really benefit from these sessions.
FAQs
What level are the courses?
Ideally we suggest you should have at least 3+ years of professional experience. Everybody's situation will be different but interaction is integral to the course and we need participants to have an experienced level of work to make that meaningful.
Do the courses build upon each other?
They are connected, like in a network. However, any session in the series of eight unique sessions can be taken as a standalone units, but it is a 1+1=3 situation. Taken together offers participants the best value option in terms of content and cost.
How different are these Sessions from a talk?
Each session in the Reach Network School will involve people listening to a story and then doing exercises on that story.
Why sign-up for this series of courses vs an in-house option or another external course?
The Reach School is run by the Reach Network: a global network of agencies specialised in human-centred design research and service innovation. We are all seasoned design research practitioners working in organisations who collaborate regularly to bring an international perspective to projects. We have been running as a network for 15 years and we have experience delivering local and international projects out of our 28 locations across our 18 partner agencies. We have also published four books together, which the course material is based around.
Overall it is hard to find courses on these topics and taking this direction: especially aimed at professionals and delivered by seasoned practitioners
How many sessions are there?
Each of the eight unique Sessions are available twice on the same day - select either the earlier slot or the later one - this is to enable people in different timezones to be able to take part. The same 1-hour session is held on Thursdays either at 08:00* (UTC) or 15:00 (UTC).
*There is no 08:00 (UTC) session on 6 October nor on 15 December. The two available session times on those days will be15:00 (UTC) and 22:00 (UTC) only.
How can I contact the organisers with further questions, comments, suggestions or ideas?
Have a look at our website here in the first instance (Bas, Dan and Kabir's email addresses are at the bottom of the page).
How much does this all cost?
€40 for each 1-hour session.
Do you offer any discounts?
We are currently running a limited "early bird" offer: after you have paid for the first 6 sessions, the last two are for free so drop us a note with your sign-up email and we will send you a discount code for Sessions 07 and 08.
