Reaction Monitoring Symposium 2026

Reaction Monitoring Symposium 2026

Overview

The 7th Reaction Monitoring Symposium will be of interest to those studying chemical and biological processes, in academia or industry.

Save the date! The 7th Reaction Monitoring Symposium will be held at the University of Bath on Thursday 29th January 2025.

Organised by the DReaM Facility, this free-to-attend one-day symposium will showcase the power of real-time reaction monitoring by NMR and other analytical techniques for kinetic and mechanistic investigations across the breadth of organic and inorganic chemistry, solution-phase catalysis and biological systems.

Whether you are an academic researcher, a postgraduate student, an industrial scientist or just someone with an enthusiasm for reaction monitoring, the Reaction Monitoring Symposium will be of interest to you.

There will be opportunities to network with colleagues over coffee, discuss your research needs with exhibitors, present a poster on your reaction monitoring research, as well as enjoying a day of exciting science.

Confirmed speakers:

Professor Jana Roithová, Radboud University
Reaction mechanisms in electrocatalysis

Professor Patrick Giraudeau, Nantes Université
Gradient-based NMR pulse sequences for real-time reaction monitoring

Dr Filipe Vilela, Heriot-Watt University
Towards Greener Photocatalysis: The Role of Enabling Technologies and Continuous Flow Systems

Dr Rebecca Ruscoe and Dr Sebastian Cosgrove, Keele University
New insights into biocatalysis: Inline high-field NMR analysis of enzymatic transformations

Dr Dawid Drelinkiewicz, Syngenta UK
Real-time Process Understanding: Harnessing FlowNMR and Online MS in Industry

Marcus Shanley, University of Bath
ASOP's Fables: A Tortoise & Hare Race for Mechanistic Understanding

Nouran Hamed, University of Manchester
What is my reaction intermediate? Resolving individual spectra in real-time NMR reaction monitoring

Please check back for more details on the programme.

If you'd like to present a poster during the poster session, please sign up as a "poster presenter" when registering. You'll need to provide a poster title and we will get in touch for an abstract in advance of the event.
