Description

Barbara Nadel will be running a series of synopsis workshops for budding authors, wanting to submit their novel into The Book Challenge Competition from 27 June 2019 until 25 September 2020.

This session will cover the mechanics of how to write a synopsis of your book for presentation to an agent, publisher or competition. This will include how to tease out the main points of a plot, what to write and what not to write, how much and what detail to include.

At the end of the session, participants should understand how to express their ideas succinctly and how to pare down their text.

Born in the East End of London, Barbara now writes full time and has been a visitor to Turkey for over twenty years. She received the Crime Writers' Association Silver Dagger for her novel Deadly Web, part of her series featuring Inspector Ikmen (dubbed the Turkish Morse). She is a valued Pen to Print partner.

We are pleased to say that all our events remain FREE. We do this through the generosity of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and the Arts Council. We do need to raise money to continue our valuable work in the future.

This year we are offering a new way for people to support ReadFest and Pen to Print's work with Pay What You Can Afford, giving you the option to pay what you can afford for the events you attend, there is no obligation to pay, but we hope you can see the value of what we are doing and support us in this way.
