The course is most relevant to facilities and building managers, access officers, prospective access auditors as well as anyone planning building alterations who have little or no previous experience of using or reading plans, and those looking towards possible future NRAC accreditation.

The course will cover:

  • How to read and understand architects’ plans
  • The key information found in architects’ plans, including symbols and scale
  • Types of plans - layouts and elevations
  • Planning and building control processes
  • Assessing plans against access standards.

Booking terms and conditions:

Cancellations must be received in writing 14 days before the course date. All cancellations are subject to a 10 per cent administration fee. Where cancellations are received less than 14 days before the start of the course, fees will not be refunded. It is possible to transfer a booking to another person within an organisation or to another date. CAE will charge a 10 per cent transfer charge on each occasion for this service. CAE reserves the right to make amendments to the programme or cancel the course if necessary.
