Kicking off at 6:30, Dickon Levinge will be introduced by London's most celebrated psychotherapist Helen Brice before reading a few short extracts from his novel, The Bald Monkey. There will then be a short Q&A, after which copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing.
The Bald Monkey is an anarchic black comedy of denial, anger, obsession, revenge, and extremely poor judgment.
The story follows Henry, a grieving photographer unable to accept the loss of his wife, and a misfit trio, including a vengeful gallery owner and a gentle ex-con, who band together to seek justice. As their scheme spirals, old friendships are reignited, and truths are unearthed in a madcap journey full of emotional twists and dark hilarity.
About the Author: Dickon Levinge was born in Dublin. He trained at USC and UCLA as a screenwriter before spending three decades working in film and television across LA, Dublin, and London. For the last 14 years, he has been living aboard a narrowboat on England’s Southeast waterways. As shines out in The Bald Monkey, he is at heart a passionate Londoner.
