Event description

Description

An opportunity to engage with texts and images from contemporary culture, including film, music, magazines and advertising. How do these things shape our perceptions of what it is to be human? Do we find within them expressions of grace or questions of faith? How to we make connections between culture, discipleship and evangelism?

About the leader:

Canon Dr Julie Gittoes is a Residentiary Canon (Education) at Guildford Cathedral. She teaches and writes on Christian theology, particularly the nature of the church, marriage and the work of Evelyn Underhill; and she is researching a project on singleness and loneliness. Her other interests include art, politics and culture.

PLEASE NOTE: EVENTS MAY BE CANCELLED IF THERE IS INSUFFICIENT TAKE-UP.
