Reading in KS2
Event Information
About this Event
In this webinar, education researcher and writer James Clements will explore some practical approaches to supporting children’s reading as they move through KS2, focusing on:
- Building fluency
- Developing and maintaining a positive attitude to reading
- Supporting comprehension
- Thinking, discussing and responding to texts
The session will consider elements of curriculum design and classroom teaching strategies to help teachers and school leaders to reflect on the model they use at the moment, identifying the strengths and exploring how other possibilities might fit into their current system.
This is a free webinar funded by Oxford University Press in conjunction with the following English Hubs: Childer Thornton, Orgill, Lacey Green, The Arch and Teamworks. It is available to all schools supported by these hubs.
