These popular story walks are an hour long and take place at beautiful Cwmffrwd Farm on the slopes of the Brecon Beacons' Black Mountains range. They last for one hour and involve a gentle walk around the wildflower meadows, hedgerows and open access mountain bordering the farm.
During the walk, ethnobotanist and storyteller Pridie shares a magical mix of folklore and stories connected to our native trees, plants and creatures.
Guests can expect to be provided with an exciting assortment of practical bushcraft and wilder life tips that range from the sharing of seasonal rituals and soul-soothing sensory herbalism to guidance foraging delicious wild food and plants we can use as medicine.
All shared against a backdrop of spellbinding nature-based stories to share with friends in the future!
(Private bookings can also be made for up to six people. Please get in touch to find out more. )
About your host:
Pridie has spent many years performing stories that create a sense of familiarity and connection with nature and is committed to reconnecting us with the plants we once used to nourish, nurture and heal. Weaving a rich mix of oral storytelling into the teaching of wilderness skills, her goal is to rekindle our relationship with the natural world and empower us to feel, once again, at one with the wild.
Directions:
As the farm is rural, mobile signal can be intermittent during your journey to us, so it's a good idea to put the Google pin we provide below into your phone before you travel and save the location before you set out. To help as well, we are at the following What Three Words location: firewall.command.zoos
The Google pin is as follows: https://maps.app.goo.gl/Wbi6tRqDr61e2xDK8
Car sat nav systems seem to struggle with the postcode (and take you down a bridleway!) so it's better to use the Google pin or What Three Words.
