Reading Town Show
Sat, 10 Jun 2017, 11:00 – Sun, 11 Jun 2017, 17:30 BST
The Reading Town Show is to celebrate all that makes Reading great.
Show Time Events want to bring the community together and show the people of Reading and Berkshire the town in its full glory, a place for families of all ages to come together, have fun and enjoy themselves.
The Show will be held at the historic Prospect Park, which was originally a farm! In the 1760s, Benjamin Child turned the farm into a mansion. Child was the widower of the famous "Berkshire Lady", Frances Kendrick, whom he had first met there some years before. He named the park after its views over Reading; it was formerly known as Prospecthill Park.
Now a days, Reading is famous for the big music festival but Show Time Events wanted to provide a weekend of entertainment for local people, in the heart of the county town. The Show will include a giant funfair with rides for all ages, entertainment from dawn ‘til dusk and local traders selling their wares and services. The aim is to create something for everyone – live music, fireworks, rides, shows, food and shopping!
