Ready for Youth Work is a practical course for youth workers and volunteers to ensure that they can: create a safe space for young people; plan, deliver and evaluate fun youth work sessions for young people; engage young people meaningfully and celebrate and recognise their achievements.
Accreditation available at SQCF level 3, you will be asked to do some portfolio building in your own time.
Duration: 2.5 days mandatory (you must be available to attend all 3 sessions)

Second Session: Tuesday 11th Nov, 10am - 5pm, Langlee Community Centre
Introduction to Youth Work, Leading games and Creative Evaluation & Child Protection Awareness
Third Session: Tuesday 18th Nov, 10am - 5pm, Langlee Community Centre
Introduction to Youth Participation, Emergency First Aid Awareness & Completion of awards

Your place on this course will only be confirmed once you have receive an email from Jemma Laidlaw at YouthBorders. This is to ensure you are eligible to attend. Please note we are only able to provide opportunities to organisations, youth workers and volunteers within the Scottish Borders.
Where there is a cost to attend your organisation will be invoiced in advance of the event date. If you need to cancel your place on the above event, please let us know as soon as possible as there may be a waiting list. No cost will be incurred for all cancellations up to 24 hours before the event, any cancellations after this will be subjected to a £15 cancellation fee.
