Ready to Recruit: In-Work Benefits is an interactive session tailored specifically for HR and People professionals.
It aims to build confidence in understanding how the benefits system works for individuals in employment, enabling you to better support your teams through periods of change, instability or hardship.
The session explores:
- The range of benefits available to people in work — including but not limited to Universal Credit
- How employment patterns and pay frequency can affect benefit claims
- The impact of changing hours or roles on an individual’s entitlement
- The practical steps employers can take to avoid unintended financial consequences for staff
- How to confidently signpost and integrate benefits awareness into your wider employee support offer
This session forms part of a growing toolkit to help organisations retain talent, respond with empathy, and build resilient, supported workforces.
Society Matters CIC in partnership with the Northeast Combined Authority, is delivering this workshop to help employers across the region strengthen the financial wellbeing of their workforce.
