Real Junk Food Manchester, Ask Real Estate and 53two are throwing a party! To accompany our gala dinner on Thursday 29th September, we invite you to join us for drinks, bands, DJs and a good old dance to kick of the Fringe Programme of the Manchester Food & Drink Festival, and raise funds to support Real Junk Food Manchester’s mission to open Manchester’s first waste food pay-as-you-feel restaurant. Book your ticket on Eventbrite to join us!
Apologies if this seems terribly rude, but we don’t want anyone being disappointed on the night, so we need to make it clear that THIS IS NOT A TICKET FOR THE BINNER PARTY FUNDRAISING DINNER. This is a ticket to join us for drinks, bands, DJs and a right good knees up.
The evening will begin at 7pm in the “53” (smaller) archway with drinks and music, then at 9.30pm we’ll move the party to the larger “2” archway for an amazing cavalcade of bands and DJs for your enjoyment. Bring your dancing shoes!
Confirmed acts include;
DJ Sarah Walters
DJ Pasta Paul
The Nat O’Brien Band
Jo Dudderidge of The Travelling Band
DJ Thom Docking of Drunk at Vogue fame
What more could you want?!?!?!? We’ll also have on offer a lovely range of wines, beers, ales, and soft drinks, along with our very own bespoke “waste food” cocktail menu!
If you already have a ticket to the fundraising dinner, you already get all of this included! No need to book another ticket.
All funds raised will go directly to support The Real Junk Food Project Manchester in fighting food waste and food poverty. Real Junk Food Manchester is a not for profit community interest company. We source food that would otherwise go to waste, cook it into nutritious meals, and serve them to everyone and anyone on a pay-as-you-feel basis. We work with food businesses to reduce food waste, and help people in food poverty to access enough food and good food. We also campaign to make our food system fairer and more sustainable…. damn we’re nice!
