I am looking for people interested in working with me to develop an augmented reality game that can be played in Medway and Swale. The game will be based on iPhone and Android devices and will encourage players to explore their area, whilst experiencing adventure games created by local artists and writers.

Phone based augmented reality puts images, sounds and other digital content into real word locations, allowing them to be found using a phone camera. The game is likely to take the form of a treasure hunt or mystery, where players look for characters and objects that are exhibited across the town.

The aim of the workshop is to introduce the idea of augmented reality gaming and explore what might be possible. I am particularly interested in hearing from illustrators, sound designers, writers and game designers. Come along any find out more!

Please note, our venue (http://coFWD.org) is a very old bank building that is being slowly shaped by a community of individuals for long-term Community Interest. Sadly the startup project is in its infancy and being run on limited funds so the building currently has some accessibility issues. If you have specific access or disability requirements and would like to attend an event or activity please let us know at least 5 days before the event date so that we can do out outmost to resolve any potential problems to accommodate.
