You are warmly invited to the Spirit of 2012 Summit on 25 October, featuring the launch of our three-year evaluation report and an expert panel discussion and debate around the theme of Realising the potential for social benefit from events.

A drinks reception will follow.

We very much hope you can join us for a lively exploration of the topic, which will showcase the achievements of Spirit and our partners in delivering event-inspired projects that have benefited over a million people in communities across the UK.



Confirmed speakers include:

  • Baroness Sue Campbell, CBE, Head of Women’s Football, FA, former UK Sport Chair and Youth Sport Trust founder and Chair
  • Professor Ted Cantle, Leading authority on community cohesion and intercultural relations
  • Martin Green, CEO & Director, Hull UK City of Culture 2017
  • Jude Kelly, Artistic Director, Southbank Centre
  • Bill Morris, LVO Consultant to the International Olympic Committee



So far, Spirit 2012 has invested over £25 million into community projects in over 100 locations across the UK, benefiting more than 1 million people.
