About this Event

Covering over 700 years of Midlands history, this is England’s first open air museum. With over 50 years of experience of interpreting their collection of historic buildings, they continue to develop their storytelling and visitor experience. Simon Carter, Director, and Nick Sturgess, Head of Collections and Interpretation, will share their latest work, including how they are using their collection to both tell stories and generate income, and the importance of live costumed interpretation.

Your RMN host will be Chris Copp, Senior Museums Officer, Staffordshire County Council.

Access: Avoncroft Museum is constantly working to improve the accessibility of its grounds and buildings and we endeavour to meet our visitors’ requirements wherever possible.
