Since the very beginning, Newnham College has been home to outstanding, unapologetic and radical women. Continue that tradition this May.

About this event

The Rebels Conference celebrates all that which is rebellious and challenges the status quo. We will convene women who are currently challenging their disciplines with new insights in a one-day conference at Newnham college, Cambridge on the 4th May 2019.

This conference brings together historical, political and scientific topics in a wider context where “rebel” is the common ground. Women from different backgrounds will meet to inspire and be inspired by each other.

For further questions and suggestions, please contact the Newnham speaker secretaries (Cota and Lucy) at mcr.speaker@newn.cam.ac.uk. Note while this is predominantly a conference for Newnham women to present, we will also invite one presentation from our sister colleges Murray Edwards and Lucy Cavendish. The audience will be open to everyone, please sign up now to attend.
