Rebuilding Resiliently
Dictionary – resilience 1) the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness 2) the ability of a substance or object to spring back into shape; elasticity.
Resilience has become something of a buzzword since March 2020, along with ‘unprecedented’ and ‘new normal’. Overused simply because they’re so on the button! In a time where we’re experiencing many new and unique stressors, our ability to overcome them, let alone feel in control, can greatly impact our wellbeing. Further to this, once our wellbeing is adversely impacted, so is our productivity, too. Enter resilience!
Resilience not only helps us bounce back from adversity. In addition, it also helps us bounce forward, with a renewed spring in our steps!
You will –
• Identify your resilience ratings.
• Learn to increase your resilience in different parts of your life.
• Understand why some of us are more resilient than others.
• Share tips and techniques to proactively improve your resilience over time
Laila Datoo, Stress Matters
Business Wellbeing Coach, working with companies to adopt transformational wellness strategies. She started her career managing global events for the Prime Minister's office and international media companies, then moving into COO roles. She takes extra care of her own mental health since having a baby in 2019 with daily walks, PJ dance parties, meditation and plenty of deep breaths! Super power - to fly! I would love to get places fast AND see the world from up high.
She wholeheartedly believes that businesses need to ‘be’ well not just ‘do’ well and it starts at the heart of the organisation. She now works with leaders, HR and wellbeing champions to create happy, healthy workplaces.
