Description
Ever wondered what buildings used to exist in Worcestershire? Did you know there was a huge hospital in Powick built in 1852 for people who were diagnosed with mental health problems? There was a jail built across the road from Worcester Infirmary in 1820s and demolished by 1940. Do you know what it looked like?
Over eight weeks we are asking families to come to The Hive to rebuild some of these missing buildings using plans from Worcestershire Archives & Archeology Service in Minecraft or LEGO.
Under 18s need to be accompanied by an adult and the facilities will be open to anyone interested to have a go at Minecraft, learn more about what it is or if already a player meet students from Computer Games Design Degree and find out about the coding behind the game.
A free event every Tuesday for eight weeks run by The Infirmary, The Hive and University of Worcester. It's a drop in service where you can come once or every week, with 16 laptops available to play Minecraft.
